Jacob Harry Maguire (born March 5, 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays centre-back for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
Maguire progressed through Sheffield United’s junior system before joining the main squad in 2011.
He played 166 games for United and was named Player of the Year three years in a row, as well as League One’s PFA Team of the Year.
In 2014, he joined Hull City for £2.5 million before being loaned to Wigan Athletic in 2015. He joined Leicester City in 2017 for an initial sum of £12 million, and he played every minute of the 2017-18 season, earning the title of Player of the Season. Maguire relocated to Manchester.

Harry Maguire Early Life
Harry Maguire was born on March 5, 1994, in Sheffield, into a middle-class family (a Catholic family). Harry had an instant enthusiasm for the game and would return home from school and quickly pick up his football and head out to play in the “May Day” competitions with his one-year older brother Joe.
Harry Maguire began playing in the midfield and was always at ease on the ball. The little child adored English football legends and aspired to be a professional player.
He has two siblings: Daisy Maguire and Laurence Maguire, both English professional footballers.

Club career
Harry Maguire began his football career in the youth ranks of his hometown club, Sheffield United.
He started out as a midfielder, but due to his size, he was quickly moved to centre back. This is also the reason he feels at ease on the ball.
With the club battling to stay solvent, Maguire was promoted to the senior team, where he made his debut against Cardiff City, coming on as a half-time substitute and winning Man of the Match.
In 2012, he was chosen as the first choice at center defense in the football league trophy. At the age of 19, he was selected for Blades’ 100th start at the end of February 2013.
He signed a three-year contract with Hull City on July 29, 2014, although it took him some time to establish himself in the starting lineup.
