In the wake of rumours linking him to Manchester United, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann has made a monumental choice about his future.
After rumors about Manchester United, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich surfaced, Julian Nagelsmann will allegedly sign a new deal to remain Germany manager until 2026.
After directing the host nation’s Euro 2024 campaign this summer, Nagelsmann seems to be guiding Germany into the 2026 World Cup.
Following the European Championships, the 36-year-old’s contract with the German Football Association was set to expire, allowing him to resume his club career.
Nevertheless, there has been no more conjecture over Nagelsmann’s future since he has apparently decided to stay in international football for the next two years of his early coaching career.
Nagelsmann will remain Germany manager until the 2026 World Cup, according BILD’s reporting. The new deal is for two years.
After this, he will be in charge of Germany’s preparations for Euro 2024, the next UEFA Nations League matches, World Cup qualification, and, if everything goes according to plan, the tournament in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
With Erik ten Hag’s future as United manager still up in the air, Nagelsmann was heavily rumoured to be one of the top possibilities to take over at Old Trafford.
In the meantime, with Jurgen Klopp set to leave Anfield this summer, Liverpool must find a worthy replacement.
While Ruben Amorim of Sporting Lisbon seems to be strongly in the running for the Liverpool job, Klopp’s fellow German Nagelsmann was also mentioned.
Just over a year after Thomas Tuchel succeeded him as Bayern’s coach, rumors circulated that the Allianz Arena may welcome the highly regarded coach back.
Despite a terrible Bundesliga season in which Bayer Leverkusen won the title for the first time, reports indicated that negotiations with the Bavarian giants were going smoothly.
It is well known that Tuchel would be departing this summer, but Nagelsmann has already committed to the national team, so he will not be replacing him.
