Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has declined to comment on speculation linking Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise with moves away from Selhurst Park.
The Eagles duo are claimed to have several high-profile suitors, with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested in Olise, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur mooted as possible options for England international Eze.
The futures of both players are expected to be the subject of persistent speculation throughout the summer transfer window, but Glasner said there was ‘nothing to talk’ when asked about the potential of Eze and Olise leaving at the conclusion of the season.
He told the Evening Standard, “We believe (Eze and Olise) will play for Crystal Palace next season.” They are both outstanding football players and great people, which is crucial to me.
There is nothing to discuss. I’m not sure whether someone is worth £60 million, £50 million, or £2 million; this is the business world, and I’m a manager. For me, it’s critical that they can assist the team win games.
The answer is yes. I’ve been around for a long time, and no team in the world can predict how their roster will look next season on April 26. We’re not sure, but we believe they’ll be at Crystal Palace next season.
The 3AM Verdict: Eze and Olise have both demonstrated their readiness to perform on the biggest stage in recent months, thus it comes as no surprise that multiple clubs battling for the top spot in the Premier League table are interested in their services.
Palace will face a difficult battle to retain their services, but if they do depart, a big offer will almost certainly be required to persuade the Eagles.
