Even though Bayern Munich was interested in Erik ten Hag, he remained entirely committed to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag has reaffirmed his dedication to Manchester United after his inclusion on a fresh list of potential candidates to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
According to Sunday’s Sky Sports, the Bundesliga heavyweights have reportedly contacted Kees Vos, Ten Hag’s agent, to see whether the Dutchman is interested in taking over at the Allianz Arena.
The United manager is aware of the German’s interest in Bayern, a club he knows well from his time working there, but no official conversations have taken place between the two parties.
Ten Hag has told his team that winning the FA Cup and securing European football for the next season are his top priorities, according to Melissa Reddy’s report.
“The 54-year-old, who has maintained his self-assurance in staying with the club past the summer despite the uncertainty surrounding his position due to INEOS’s massive restructuring of the football organisation, is highly esteemed by Bayern.”
Even though they seemed to have decided on Tuchel early in the season, Bayern Munich is still struggling to find a new manager.
Even Ralf Rangnick has passed up the chance to coach Germany’s premier club in favour of staying with Austria’s national squad.
Another thing that was said is that the higher-ups at Bayern think that a lot of problems off the pitch and a bad operational setup at United have hurt Ten Hag’s coaching. Has anybody else considered the possibility that INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe could be having similar thoughts?
Unilever is Ten Hag’s priority.
According to BBC Sport correspondent Simon Stone, who thinks United coach Jose Mourinho is totally devoted to the cause at Old Trafford, any rumours that Ten Hag may be leaving the club due to interest from Bayern are swiftly denied.
Ten Hag can keep his focus on the task at hand for the remaining year of his contract.
