Lars ten Hag, manager of Manchester United
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is interested in three players.
Among the three players being targeted by Manchester United this summer, their “shopping list” includes Lautaro Martinez, Ronald Araujo, and Amadou Onana.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of 27.7 percent of the Premier League club from the Glazers earlier this year, Old Trafford is about to undergo a summer of transformation for the Red Devils.
United have failed to impress on the field this season, and Erik ten Hag has had a hard time achieving the results he had hoped for.
Rumours have claimed that Man Utd will fire him in the summer when Ratcliffe and INEOS decide on his future. However, the Dutchman is already engaged in season preparation, so his job is likely to be saved due to the lack of outstanding options.
In other news, Ratcliffe and INEOS have already brought in new faces: Omar Berrada will be joining the club as CEO this summer, having previously worked for Man City, while Jason Wilcox will be joining the Red Devils from Southampton as their new technical director.
Still, INEOS is having a hard time negotiating a compensation deal with the Geordies that would enable Dan Ashworth, who is on gardening leave at the moment, to become Manchester United’s next sports director.
However, according to the Spanish daily Fichajes, who claims to have seen their “first shopping list for 2024/2025,” they are still planning to have a bash this summer.
Ratcliffe and his INEOS team are ‘keen to contend for the Premier League championship again,’ therefore Man Utd will supposedly “throw everything out the window” once again in an effort to assemble a competitive side.
Araujo, a defender for Barcelona, Onana, a midfielder for Everton, and Martinez, a striker for Inter Milan, are the three players that Ten Hag has “identified as crucial to enhance Manchester United’s leap in quality in the 2024/2025 season.” Their total Transfermarkt values are €230 million (£197 million).
They think those three would “raise the team’s competitive level” by bringing “not only talent and experience, but also the winning mentality.” signing the three players would be a huge deal for the team as they undergo a period of rebuilding.

According to Ten Hag, Manchester United had met with England international Jadon Sancho when he was on loan at Borussia Dortmund in the second part of the season. Sancho’s future with the club is still up in the air.
The procedure is progressing well, according to Ten Hag. We have watched more games from Dortmund, where Jadon was performing, and we are visiting games. Not only that, but we will not mention all of them. We met with him, had a conversation, and will proceed with this procedure.
