After Manchester United beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final, Erik ten Hag made fun of Roy Keane.
Immediately after Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory against Manchester City at Wembley, Erik ten Hag went on a live troll spree on Roy Keane on ITV. With a 2-1 triumph against the Citizens in the capital, the 54-year-old earned his second title in as many seasons at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag’s tenure as United manager is supposedly coming to an end after a disappointing season in which his club finished ninth in the Premier League.
While interviewing the former Sunderland and Ipswich boss, he was eager to bring up his own managerial troubles, seemingly elated after guiding his team to victory over Pep Guardiola’s players.

“We need to step it up a notch,” Ten Hag informed Keane. The Dutchman made a joke, saying, “Hey, hey, you had trouble managing a team,” in response to the former midfielder’s advice not to listen to commentators. So…”
“Give me some praise because I won a championship with Sunderland,” Keane fired back. Why are you being so hard on me? “You did as well,” Ten Hag said.
The Red Devils have been hammered by huge losses to Bournemouth and Crystal Palace this season, and Keane has been critical of Ten Hag throughout. Also, in the run-up to the FA Cup final, United’s manager went after ex-players who trash-talked his squad.

Everybody loves to bash other people in order to boost their own self-esteem, but these so-called specialists just can’t seem to put an end to their negativity. Last year, it was these same individuals who commended me. This time last year I was the Premier League’s worst manager; this year I walked on water.
