Mount paid £55 million to join United from Chelsea in the summer of 2017.
Ryan Smart Mason Mount, a midfielder for Manchester United, has made a tonne of money every minute playing in the Premier League this year.
After a possible increase to £60 million, the England international came at Old Trafford last summer for £55 million from Chelsea.
As he reached the last year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, Mount decided to leave Chelsea, a club he had been affiliated with since he was six years old.
The 25-year-old started his first competitive match after being given the number seven jersey that Cristiano Ronaldo had left behind.
However, Mount strained his hamstring in his second game, which kept him out for the next five matches.
The midfielder’s outstanding performance in United’s 1-0 victory against Luton in November may have been the catalyst for a breakout season for him.
However, Mount did not return to the United lineup until March due to a muscle injury; on his Premier League return, he scored United’s opening goal against Brentford.
His season came to a close with an injury-time cameo in the 2-1 FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City; he had been in and out of the lineup for the rest of the season due to more muscular injuries.
The Telegraph reports that when Mount moved to Old Trafford last summer, he signed a deal with a weekly value of almost £250,000.
If those numbers hold, Mount has made £13 million year since joining United. This works out to £25,390 per minute of Premier League play for the Englishman at the start of next season.
Mount, who did not make the England Euro 2024 team, will spend the whole preseason training with United. He will be looking to improve upon his performance last season, when he showed positive indications during his brief return to action, with the hopes of having a much more successful campaign this time around.

Now that Mason Mount’s Premier League statistics for Chelsea and Manchester United are out, Erik ten Hag will have reason to be concerned.
In a summer deal for £60 million, the 24-year-old left Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford.
The last eighteen months have been challenging for Mount, who has been out of favour at Chelsea, cut from the England team, and injured many times.

With United, he planned to restart his career, and he was even given the famous number seven jersey.
This calendar year, he has failed to score or record an assist in the Premier League. Since December’s 2-0 win against Bournemouth, the midfielder has gone scoreless in league play.
In October 2022, Mount recorded his final two assists in a 3-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It’s not easy to tell when Mount makes a turn. When playing behind United captain Bruno Fernandes, he is at his best. One of the first names on the teamsheet, the Portugal superstar has an outstanding fitness record.

Despite several setbacks, Ten Hag has tried to utilise Mount from a deeper position.

Even having Mount on the team, United still seem to be unable to overcome their chronic midfield overrun problem, which has plagued them in almost every game this season.
United great Dimitar Berbatov said earlier this week that Mount is feeling the heat because of his astronomical transfer cost.
We all know he has to step up since he hasn’t done well since joining United,” he stated to Betfair.
He seems to be struggling to find his place in that system in a few games, so he’s the one I hope puts up more effort and produces better results.

We all recognise his quality, even if he sometimes appears confused.

His stress levels will be over the roof since he was purchased for a pretty penny, which means a lot of people are expecting a lot from him. He is well aware that he must now perform; he must now take the initiative and demonstrate the talent that is evident to everyone.
On Sunday night, United will play away to Everton in their return to action.

Mason Mount, who is set to join Manchester United for £60 million, has said an emotional goodbye to Chelsea supporters.
After passing his physical at Carrington on Monday, the 24-year-old midfielder will reportedly sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford, paying £250,000 per week, after an agreement of £55 million base cost plus £5 million in add-ons.
Mount used social media to bid farewell to Chelsea fans before the revelation that he would be joining Manchester United this summer was made public.
“Greetings, Chelsea supporters. I know this may not be shocking to you with all the rumours that have circulated about me over the last six months, but I still can’t bring myself to tell you that I’ve decided to quit Chelsea,” he said.
“You deserved more than a written statement…”
Presented here in its entirety is the footage that was made public on Tuesday night.
“I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I’ve been for all of your support over the last 18 years,” Mount said.
Although I anticipate disapproval from some of you, I must say that this is the best choice for my job right now.
Chelsea has been there for me since I was six years old, and we’ve gone through a lot. It was an unbelievable night when we won the Champions League, but we also won the Youth Cup, my player of the year accolades, the Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and more.
The academy, Jim, and Neil had a profound impact on me when I was a kid, and I’m grateful to Frank, Thomas, and Graham, the managers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Everyone in the backroom crew, even my long-lost friends who have become like brothers to me, is an unsung hero at Cobham.
You all have been there for me through thick and thin, and I am eternally grateful to my family for their unending love and support.
Mount began his professional football career with Chelsea when he was only six years old. He went on to make more than 150 appearances for his home club, during which time they won a UEFA Super Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, and the Champions League.
It has been reported that Mason Mount would get a substantial salary increase if his transfer from Chelsea to Manchester United is finalised.
United have reportedly agreed to a £60 million deal with Chelsea to acquire Mount. This news comes from the Athletic.
After having their third £55 million offer for the England international rejected last week, United allegedly agreed to pay £55 million up front with a further £5 million in add-ons.

Undergoing a medical and finalising personal terms with the Old Trafford club are now within the 24-year-old’s purview, as both parties conclude the necessary documentation.
United reportedly have a deal in the works with Mount that extends until 2028 with an additional year of option.

According to FBRef, the midfielder’s weekly salary at Chelsea is £80,000.
On the other hand, in early June, Football Insider said that Mount’s weekly salary at Old Trafford would be close to £200,000, which is more than double his present salary.
According to Matt Law of the Telegraph, Mount’s weekly salary at United will be £250,000, with the potential to increase to almost £300,000 when incentives are included in.
Despite Mount’s remaining year on his contract at Stamford Bridge, talks deteriorated at the end of last year. As a result, Chelsea was eager to grant the player’s requests about a possible departure.
From his first team debut in 2017 through his 195 appearances and 33 goals, Mount has been a mainstay in Chelsea’s first squad since his youth days.
Before breaking into the Chelsea first squad under Frank Lampard’s first stint as manager, he played two seasons on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County, respectively, from 2017 to 2019.
At Old Trafford, United will be rooting for Mount to get off to a flying start. But before he can achieve that, he has to get over the pelvic injury that sidelined him for Chelsea’s penultimate game of the season against Newcastle at the tail end of last term.
Reports indicate that Manchester United have been informed of the transfer fee for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount after the opening of ‘formal discussions’ between the two clubs.
According to Wednesday’s report in The Telegraph, United reportedly accepted personal terms with 24-year-old Mount, putting the Red Devils in the driver’s seat to sign him.
According to The Evening Standard, “United are increasingly confident they will reach an agreement over Mount and are set to make an opening offer for the 24-year-old following the FA Cup Final.”
Even while Chelsea would prefer that Mount remain, they are willing to sell him if it means keeping him for another season until his contract ends in the summer of 2024.
Erik ten Hag wants to sign the England international, but how much will it cost?
According to Evening Standard reporter Nizamar Kinsella, Chelsea has informed Manchester United that “they want £70 million for Mason Mount after the two clubs opened formal talks.” United has been informed of this price by Chelsea.
Nevertheless, United is said to be attempting to negotiate a fee of £50-60 million for his talents, given that Chelsea is expected to unload players this summer after their £600 million expenditure this season.
The club reportedly values Maguire, who cost £80 million four years ago, at £30 million, despite his lowly position under Ten Hag.
So, in order to get Mount, United may give £40 million to Chelsea in exchange for Maguire and other players.
