The agent of Bruno Fernandes “met with several top clubs around Europe” in preparation for his client’s potential departure from Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano of The People’s Person.

The United supporter has been wondering about Fernandes’ future with the club for the last many weeks.
Several European and Saudi teams are reportedly interested in signing the playmaker, including Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Nassr.
But Fernandes told the press following United’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle last month that he wants to stay at Old Trafford for as long as the club wants him.
Reporter David Ornstein of The Athletic subsequently broke the story that the Portugal international and his entourage met with high-ranking United officials including Sir Dave Brailsford and Jason Wilcox at Old Trafford.
Ornstein said that Fernandes sought guarantees that United’s future plans align with his own goals of contending for championships annually. Reportedly, everyone involved in the meeting felt their needs had been met by the time it ended.
In last weekend’s FA Cup final, Fernandes was an integral part of Manchester United’s 2-1 victory against Manchester City. Kobbie Mainoo’s magnificent no-look pass from Fernandes was the game-winner for the side in the championship match against Pep Guardiola’s squad at Wembley.
The general consensus among supporters was that Fernandes’s situation had been resolved, and they need not be concerned about his future with the club or his potential interest in other clubs.
The news that United captain Miguel Pinho “met with several top clubs around Europe this week” has revived these worries, according to an update by Fabrizio Romano, who shared the information on social media.
The teams with whom Fernandes’ agent met were not named by Romano.
The Italian journalist went on to say that the midfielder is still very much involved with United and wants to stay with the 20-time English champions, but he hasn’t made up his mind just yet.
The present tenure of Fernandes will end in 2026. United may choose to extend for an additional year.
