Midfielder Dani Olmo, who attacks for RB Leipzig,
Noteworthy aspects
Dani Olmo, who is now playing for RB Leipzig and has a €60 million release clause, is being considered by Manchester United.
Many elite teams have taken notice of Olmo after seeing his play in the Bundesliga, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
Olmo is being actively monitored by United, who are aiming to significantly increase their offensive options this summer, despite rumours of Liverpool interest.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs of GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United are interested in signing Dani Olmo, a star for RB Leipzig with a €60 million release clause.
Olmo has been a mainstay in the Spanish national team setup, earning a spot on this summer’s European Championship roster, and he has thrived for Leipzig, a team that has often finished in the top four of the Bundesliga in the past few years. Many clubs, including Manchester City, Liverpool, and United, are interested in signing him after his stellar 2023–24 season.
Ben Jacobs of GIVEMESPORT said that United are pursuing the highly sought-after wide forward, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also reportedly keeping tabs on him. Liverpool has also been mentioned.
Man Utd Is Chasing Olmo, Says Jacobs
Attacking midfielder Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig celebrates his release, which is valid until mid-July.
Olmo surprised everyone by making a surprising transfer from Barcelona’s La Masia to Dinamo Zagreb. He stayed there for six seasons, becoming into a player who would eventually attract interest from RB Leipzig, an emerging club. The much-maligned German club put money into the Catalonian, and he has grown into one of the league’s most highly regarded wingers.
After being praised as “incredible” by football scout Antonio Mango, Olmo will be eager to take advantage of his release clause and move up a tier this summer. He possesses remarkable close control, elusiveness, and smooth dribbling abilities.
Jacobs elaborated on the matter while speaking with GIVEMESPORT:
The release clause, which amounts to, what seems like, €60 million, will become effective this summer and remain in place until around the middle of July. Manchester United has expressed interest in him. Not only has Liverpool taken an interest in the player, but so have others.
The teams in question include Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Barcelona, according to some. But there’s currently no sign that Liverpool are making any progress in that regard.
The fact that Manchester United will not hear from Liverpool about Olmo is good news, but the fact that so many clubs are interested in the 26-year-old is bad news. Bayern Munich and Barcelona both have the chance to provide him Champions League football, not to mention the prestige of joining his childhood club or the top team in his division.

Olise and Zirkee’s transfer rumours have centred on the Red Devils.

Several central defenders, such as Tosin Adarabioyo and Jarrad Branthwaite, have been linked to Manchester United this summer. It is understandable that INEOS would focus on bolstering the defence, considering Erik ten Hag’s squad had a dismal defensive record last season, conceding 58 goals.
United supporters will be hoping for attacking reinforcements during the transfer window, after the North West outfit also only managed 57 goals in 2023/24. Bruno Fernandes had another great season, but Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Rasmus Hojlund let the team down. If they want to challenge for a spot in Europe next season, they need a more dynamic offensive threat.
Even though there haven’t been many rumoured movements involving INEOS and Olmo, reports have surfaced in recent weeks suggesting that the company is eyeing Michael Olise of Crystal Palace and Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna as potential targets.
